Congratulations to Sage White and Harrison Hefley for signing to play college baseball next season. Sage will be attending Harding University and Harrison will be attending the University of Arkansas.
Thank you for getting you son signed up for session 3 classes. Due to the recent schedule changes of the RHS Fieldhouse, the MBA class times for session 3 will be changing, as well.
1 pm- 2 pm (Hitting-Grades 6th-8th/Middle School)
2 pm- 3 pm (Pitching/Defense- Grades 6th-8th/Middle School)
3 pm- 4 pm (Hitting-Elementary)
4 pm-5 pm (Pitching/Defense-Elementary)
As of right now, we do not have enough players enrolled in the Saturday classes. Therefore, there will be no classes offered for session 3. If you are registered for a Saturday class, there is still room available on Sunday's but they are filling fast. Since there has been such a high demand for Sunday's, in this session, I divided elementary and middle school into two separate groups.
I apologize for the inconvenience of this schedule change, but have heard the request of most of those enrolled in session 2 and each mentioned that this time change will work. If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.
We've made some exciting updates to our website which include a new Class Store with online payment option, as well as, the ability to accept tax-exempt donations using a credit or debit card!
The Class Store resembles a traditional online shopping experience complete with a Shopping Cart and Checkout process. You can pay online, or by check/cash on the first day of class. After completing the Checkout process, you will receive an email notification that your order was received, followed by a confirmation email of successful enrollment in the class.
Online Donations are now fast and easy! Go to the Donate page, and click the "Donate" button. Select the amount and program fund you'd like to support. You'll receive a confirmation email with tax-exempt information to keep for your records.

Attention future Mountie parents and players,
We are proud to begin our 6th year for the Mountaineer Baseball Academy (MBA). If you have a son that is in the RHS feeder pattern and interested in playing competitive baseball, please come out and join us for our annual player evaluations/tryouts. If you are currently playing USSSA baseball on another team, and you are in the Mountie feeder pattern, I want to encourage you to come under our banner. This will not only help prepare you for the upcoming season, but will also help us reach our goals for the RHS baseball program, too.
Tryouts for 2016 USSSA teams will be Saturday August 1. We will do elementary (3-5th) 8:30-10:30 and middle school (6-8) from 10:30-12:30 at the RHS Fieldhouse. All players trying out must come ready by having a glove, tennis shoes (no cleats), baseball pants (tucked in), hat, and a great attitude!! Please be on time and register prior to the start of tryouts at the registration table located at the southeast corner of the turf room.
It's a GREAT day to be a MOUNTIE,
We are excited to announce our brand-new Mountie Baseball Academy (MBA) website. Our old site was beginning to show its age and it was time get a fresh start. We've teamed up with the talented team at MurDog Creative to build a site that can help us stay connected to you our athletes and parents.
We've refreshed the look and feel and simplified the site so that you can easily find the information you need. We've also been blessed to have some incredible photography taken for us by Mark Strickland. Thank you Mark for what you do for MBA.
We hope you enjoy the new site. Remember to check back for updates and news about the Mountie Baseball Academy.
This years summer baseball camp will be held at Northwest Park June 16-18 from 8:30 am-12:00 pm. The days for the camp will be Monday through Wednesday. The summer camp is open enrollment for anyone interested in the "Mountie Way" of fundamental baseball. That means anyone, so bring your cousins, friends from other schools, etc.
The camp will focus on fundamental skills of baseball throughout the morning and then move to skill application and game play at the end. There will be many fundamental skills covered, including, baserunning, proper throwing and mechanics, proper catching mechanics, hitting, situational baseball IQ challenge, pitching, etc.
Our concession stand will be available, so sending a few extra dollars for Gatorades, water, sunflower seeds, etc. would be a good idea.
You can support the MBA by purchasing some new MBA fan gear! The MBA has been working with 316 Sports in Lowell to offer a few options for parents, friends and family to show their support for the MBA and all of our boys. Below is a link to the order form that shows the options we currently have available. All orders will be paid when picked up from 316 Sports.
